నేను  పరదేశంలోనైనా

సంప్రదాయపు అలవాట్లూ, విధులూ నిర్వర్తిస్తాను.

నేను సంతోషంగా ఒక బుల్లి పిట్టను

వసంతోత్సవాల్లో స్వేచ్ఛగా విహరించమని వదుల్తాను. 

ఇప్పుడు నాకు ఎంతో ఊరటగా ఉంది. అందుకు

సర్వశక్తిమయుడైనదేముడికి ఎంతైనా ఋణపడి ఉన్నాను.

అతని సృష్టిలో కనీసం ఒక జీవికైనా

నేను స్వాతంత్ర్యాన్ని ఇవ్వగలిగేను.

A Little Bird

.

In alien lands I keep the body

Of ancient native rites and things:

I gladly free a little birdie

At celebration of the spring.

I’m now free for consolation,

And thankful to almighty Lord:

At least, to one of his creations

I’ve given freedom in this world!
