అరుణోదయం… గార్డన్ బాటమ్లీ, ఇంగ్లీషు కవి

ముక్కున కరుచుకున్న నత్తగుల్లని

ఒక రాయికేసి బాదుతోందొక పక్షి;

విరగకాసిన చెట్టుకొమ్మనుండి ఒక పిట్ట

కొమ్మ విరిగిపోతుందేమో అనిపించేట్టు వేలాడుతోంది;

ప్రభాతగీతాలింకా ప్రారంభం కాలేదు,

కానీ ఆ విశాలమైన చెట్టు ఆవరణ చీకటిలో

ఎగురుతూ, పులుగులన్నీ కిచకిచలాడసాగేయి.

ఎందుకంటే, ఒక గుడ్లగూబ ఇప్పుడే తనగూడు చేరుకుంది.

A Thrush is tapping a stone

With a snail-shell in its beak;

A small bird hangs from a cherry

Until the stern shall break.

No waking song has begun,

And yet birds chatter and hurry

And throng in the elm’s gloom

Because an owl goes home.
